Dubai Coffee Shop: The Brass

I’ve been wanting to write about The Brass for a long time, but I end up forgetting.  I had to find the photos I took when I first visited the place.

This is a very small coffee shop in the Jumeirah Beach Residences area. However, it’s one of those lovely coffee shops in JBR. The interiors are really cool and has a hip feeling.  It appeals to young people and those who are young at heart.  The tree in the middle is eye catching and somehow gives a relaxing feeling inside.  When I went there, it was not crowded but there were some people who were studying and just talking.

If I remember correctly, the staff were okay, but they could have been better.  I think it was already late (9PM) when I came and I couldn’t see their enthusiasm when serving customers.   I always like people who smile and enthusiastic when offering products to new customers. I didn’t feel it from any of them that night.  BUT.. they were not bad.  it was just a typical service provided.. no extra mile thingy. 🙂 😉

Price-wise, they are okay. I mean they are affordable. The range of their prices is similar to most coffee shops around Dubai.

I asked the staff to recommend a drink to me and he offered “Cafe Miel“.  It was okay, and  I somehow liked it. 🙂  However, I was looking for something new that night and Cafe Miel is just an ordinary coffee drink. If I am to judge it’s coffee taste, it was good.  I’d recommend it.  However, I am the type of person who likes coffee blended stuff.  I like to explore new coffee tastes. 😀
