MannaLand – A Must-Try Korean Restaurant in Dubai

I’ve been looking for a good restaurant then my friends brought me to this Korean Restaurant in Satwa called Mannaland.  I was hesitant at first coz’ I’ve already tried several Korean restaurants and most of them were disappointments.

We went there on a Friday and they were open.  We were greeted by their Pinay staff and she was very accommodating.  The interiors of the restaurant is nice.  Like most korean restaurants, it is inspired by the Korean Traditions.  The restaurant is divided into two parts. One, where you have a table and chairs. Second, where you get to sit on the floor with little tables like the ones you see on Korean dramas.

To make our experience more memorable, we decided to sit on the floor. We had to take off our shoes before sitting there.

We ordered Galbi Gui, Bibimbap and Kimbap.

Mannaland

GALBI GUI – is made with marinated beef short ribs in a ganjang-based sauce (Korean soy sauce).

Bibimbap is a signature Korean dish. The word literally means “mixed rice”. Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste), soy sauce, or doenjang, a fermented soybean paste. A raw or fried egg and sliced meat (usually beef) are common additions. The hot dish is stirred together thoroughly just before eating.

Gimbap or Kimbap is a Korean dish made from steamed white rice (bap) and various other ingredients, rolled in gim (sheets of dried laver seaweed) and served in bite-size slices.

Side Dishes – Korean cuisine is largely based on rice, vegetables, and meats. Traditional Korean meals are noted for the number of side dishes (반찬; banchan) that accompany steam-cooked short-grain rice. Kimchi is almost always served at every meal.

Of all the Korean restaurants I’ve tried so far here in Dubai, Mannaland has to be the best so far.  I love the experience, the food, the staff and the interiors.  To fully appreciate a korean restaurant you must feel like you are in Korea.  I felt that in Mannaland.🙂

If you are a K-pop fan, and love Korean Food might as well give Mannaland a try.  They are located at Al Mina Road, Satwa, Dubai.
