Nelson Mandela is one of the world’s greatest men.  He was a prisoner who became the president of South Africa.  He was born on July 18, 1918 and died on December 05, 2013 at 4:45 PM EST.  He lived and changed the world.

Here are some of his famous quotes that inspires me.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.”

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

“Real leaders must be ready to sacrifice all for the freedom of their people.”

“Lead from the back — and let others believe they are in front.”

“Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.”

“It always seems impossible until it’s done.”

South Africa is one lucky country to have found a leader like Nelson Mandela.  I wish we had a president like him.  In the future, I want a president who looks up to Nelson Mandela and tries to imitate his actions and achievement.  I think any country would become a better country if its leaders lead like Nelson Mandela.

To the man who inspired the world and its leaders may you rest in peace and you will forever be remembered!
