K-Pop Invasion in Davao

No Breathing

Lee Jong-suk, Seo In-guk, Yuri and Park Jeong Cheol

A lot of Korean artists visited the Philippines but they all went to Manila and never in Mindanao.  Most of Kpop Girl Groups and Boy bands do their concerts in Manila.  But today ~ August 06, 2013 it will change!

According to an official of the DOT (Department of Tourism) the stars and crew of a Korean film are coming to Davao. Yes! D-A-V-A-O, my city! The title of their film is “NO BREATHING” and they will be shooting the last scenes of the movie here in Davao.

According to wiki, No Breathing is an upcoming South Korean sports film set in the world of competitive swimming, starring Lee Jong-sukSeo In-guk and Kwon Yuri. It will be released at the end of 2013.

  • Lee Jong-suk as Woo-sang, a national swimmer with an ambitious personality and a need to be always on top.
  • Seo In-guk as Won-il, a swimming prodigy who avoided the sport for a while.
  • Kwon Yuri as Jung-eun, a girl with a carefree personality who dreams of becoming a musician. She grew up with the boys as children.

They will film in Davao from Aug. 6 to 13, 2013.   A source also told me that Jessica (Girls Gen) is also coming.  All the Kpop fans around the city are now starting to be crazy.  Earlier, there were a lot of people near Marco Polo hotel since there was a news that they may be staying in Marco Polo.  What they didn’t know is that the stars left Korea at 3:00PM and might be arriving Davao late this evening.😀

Tomorrow the casts are also rumored to be going to Pearl Farm to start shooting the movie.
